kant feel my face (intro) - 8.2/10
I remember this from the listening party.
The beat is insane, and I like trnd's flow here, but for the most part I've got no idea what he's saying.
liminality - 7.7/10
This has the same sound as the intro, but it's excecuted slightly better with a more polished mix and flow.
1000DOLLAFIT - 7.5/10
feat. GENO V
Geno highkey carried.
IKON - 6/10
feat. GENO V
Another one with a Geno feat, but worse.
BandLab really needs to add a detune feature
to their autotune...
imnotokay - 7/10
Is that A-Train??
(O)MENNN - 6/10
Whoever that feature is - I think that's MANSA - sold the HELL out of this track.
way2loud! - 6.5/10
feat. vyre
I'm not saying you have to be a lyrical mastermind to make good music, as lyrical content isn't really a focus in rap anymore, but it's really sticking out to me on this song. Take this for example:
Yeah, baby, what you need? / I been sippin' on that lean / I been sippin' on codiene / And my speakers make you bleed
Maybe it's just the flow. Who knows?
bandlab.com - 4.5/10
Nah...
I'm not really feeling this one.
I understand that the sole point of this song is to expose kole, so I'll give it some extra points.
As a song in general, though, it's not something I'd listen to after this.
The flow sounds a little off sometimes, especially when he says:
You faked your death, conspiracy, then you came back with sincerity
As a second point, what is "came back with sincerity" supposed to mean here?
HEADLINER - 7/10
I really like the beat on this one, especially the switch to EDM.
trnd's performance doesn't really do much for me, though.
OUTERSPACE - 8/10
Best song on here so far.
Maybe it's the beat, but I was boppin' my head for most of the track.
TAKEOFFMYSHIRT - 8/10
feat. REV BXTTER & Khamp!
Nevermind, this one's the best.
He was actually flowing on here.
Rev & Khamp, however, are just aight.
UNDERSCORES - 7/10
The beat (sampling The Peace by underscores, hence the title) is doing some heavy lifting here.
I feel like when hopping on something this upbeat and bass-heavy, you've gotta have a lot of energy. To me, trnd doesn't really match it.
friends - 8/10
This song sounds happy in a way.
Unlike the last song, trnd actually compliments the beat here, having a somewhat whimsical tone when rapping.
I don't really know any other way to describe it.
This is my first real "review"... lmao
SHOTSUP - 7.5/10
The feature is damn near the main artist, as his verse is longer than both of trnd's parts combined. I have no other choice but to say he carried.
all u gotta do is swag - 7/10
"Lil Troll, yeah, he pour up lean"?
I doubt it.
praise me - 5/10
I felt nothing significant listening to this song.
In conclusion, I feel like trnd has a lot of potential, but as of right now, it's only peeking through at certain moments. I even got a bit bored while listening. I think experimenting with the beat selection, or even learning to make beats himself, would make trnd stand out more. To an outsider, he'd seem like just another BandLab demon who's just in it for fun. I don't hate this album, but for the most part, I'd agree with the outsider.
Overall - 6.5/10
Highest ranked song: kant feel my face (intro) [8.2/10]
Lowest ranked song: bandlab.com (4.5/10)
Don't just take my word for it. Listen for yourself and see if you like it:
